Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a CDL driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles or straight trucks, and to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations.

Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, logging, and compliance with DOT regulations, with potential dock duties and occasional overnight stays. CDL Class A or CLP required; Hazmat duties may be involved.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL Class A or commercial learner permit (CLP).
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift approximately 100 pounds multiple times daily.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles or straight trucks.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch and follow instructions.
