Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations and perform related tasks across service centers and turn-point locations. Responsibilities include safety inspections, log maintenance, and dock work when needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL or CLP before entering job classification.
• Must have an acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT reg. 391 requirements.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hook up and break down trailer sets with lifting requirements ~100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation.
• Adhere to Dispatch instructions and DOT/hazmat rules.
• Provide internal/external customer service and teamwork as needed.
