Job summary

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or CLP before entering job classification.
• Able to pass MVR checks per hiring standards.
• Meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Lift up to 100 pounds for trailers and freight multiple times daily.
• Ability to sit, bend, twist, and climb in/out of truck for long periods.
• Work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre/post/inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies.
• Handle freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Maintain required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch about delays or equipment issues.
• Provide internal/external customer service.
• Capitalize on additional business opportunities for sales.
