Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from pre-trip inspections to passing the CDL exam, both in the yard and on the road. You’ll work at a designated yard with other instructors and may cover regional yards as needed.

The role emphasizes hands-on teaching, maintaining yard standards, and ensuring students achieve strong pass rates while staying home each night. A 90-day probation is included.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor students.
• Proven ability to coach and guide learners through CDL training.
• Basic computer skills for tracking progress and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills using hands-on training in outdoor yards.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on the first attempt.
