Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from pre-trip inspection through CDL exam success. You will work at a designated yard with a team of instructors, with occasional regional yard coverage.

Responsibilities include keeping training records, delivering consistent curriculum, and maintaining a safe, tidy learning environment. The role emphasizes hands-on coaching, strong attendance, and collaboration with the Lead Instructor to ensure high first-time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with 24 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, or state-specific exception.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills in yards and on-road.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections and maneuvers.
• Track attendance and student progress; provide extra support.
• Maintain training records and report incidents to lead/institution.
• Keep yard and building clean; cover other regional yards as needed.
