Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers, park loads, and coordinate with dock operations. This role requires safe driving, DOT compliance, and attention to logistics in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You must have a CDL A, a clean three-year MVR, and be at least 21. The position offers $22.50 per hour, a 5‑day schedule with Sunday–Friday availability, and benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; inspect and report safety issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; report hazards.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle and return all paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspection facility interactions.
• Ensure tractors, trailers and freight are properly secured at all times.
• Perform general housekeeping in the loading dock area and keep trailers clean.
• End of shift: secure equipment and complete paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
