Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to and from loading docks and park trailers in designated areas. CDL A required and 21+ with clean MVR; DOT health card or ability to obtain one.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections and ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations. You will also handle paperwork for offsite maintenance, maintain clean work areas, and communicate professionally with coworkers and vendors while supporting our food distribution

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months tractor-trailer experience; internal candidates may be promoted with less.
• Valid CDL A and 21 years of age required.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and able to pass drug test.
• DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle and return paperwork for offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors/trailers and freight are secured at all times; maintain cleanliness.
• Complete all necessary paperwork at end of shift.
