Job summary

Performance Foodservice is looking for a Yard Driver to move tractors and trailers, perform safety checks, and park equipment at loading docks. You will drive locally, follow DOT regulations, and manage related paperwork to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a valid CDL A, 6–12 months of tractor-trailer experience, a clean MVR, and the ability to pass drug and road tests. Overtime may be required; safety and professional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A and at least 6–12 months of tractor trailer experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years and ability to pass drug test.
• Must meet DOT health card requirements and pass road tests.
• Able to work scheduled overtime and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT rules and company safety guidelines.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and parking areas.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors/trailers are secured at all times.
• Keep loading dock and trailers clean; complete end-of-shift paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
