Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to and from loading docks and to park trailers in designated areas. You will drive locally, maintain safety and DOT compliance, and handle related paperwork and inspections.

The role requires a valid CDL A, a clean MVR, and the ability to pass drug and road tests. 21+ and availability for overtime are required; on-site work environment with safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 months of tractor trailer experience; internal candidates may be promoted with less.
• Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime.
• Must have CDL A license and be 21+ years old.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one; DOT regulations compliance.
• Clean MVR from last 3 years; pass pre-employment drug test and road test.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks including pre/post trip inspections per DOT.
• Move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured at all times.
• Complete required paperwork at end of shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
