Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to and from loading docks and park units in designated areas. The role requires safe, DOT-compliant driving and regular interaction with coworkers and vendors. Attention to safety and accurate paperwork are essential.

Responsibilities include safety checks, DOT policy adherence, and maintaining secure, clean work zones. Suitable for candidates with CDL A and 21+ years of age, with 6–12 months of tractor-trailer experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• CDL A required.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and report issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors/trailers are locked and secured at all times.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the tractor/loading dock area.
• Secure equipment and complete necessary paperwork at end of shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
