Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers, park loaded and empty trailers, and coordinate with loading docks. This role requires DOT-compliant driving, safety checks, and maintaining vehicle and paperwork integrity.

You will operate under DOT regulations, report hazards, and support the loading/unloading process with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service. Valid CDL A and 21+ to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months of tractor trailer experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled times and overtime.
• Valid CDL A.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card

Responsibilities

• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) according to DOT regulations.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and to/from designated parking area.
• Handle and return all necessary paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspection facility interactions.
• Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
• At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
