Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a CDL-A driver responsible for picking up and delivering trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations. The role requires adherence to DOT regulations, completion of logs and reports, and safety inspections.

The driver may perform LDV operations, chains of tires, and occasional local work as needed, with a focus on safety, reliability, and on-time delivery across routes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• One year of driving experience within the last three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR and meet DOT regulatory eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer for long-haul and local routes.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues with dispatch.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
