Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a professional CDL-A driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailer combinations.

The role requires performing pre-trip inspections, secure loading/unloading, and maintaining logs while adhering to DOT and hazardous materials regulations. The driver will follow dispatch instructions, potentially operate long combination vehicles, and may perform city driver or dock duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from tractor/trailer.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch about delays, arrivals, or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
