Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is hiring a CDL A driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations. You will operate tractor-trailer combinations, perform safety inspections, hook/unhook trailers, and maintain logs and documentation.

Requirements include a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, 1 year of recent driving or completion of the FedEx Driver Development Course, and a clean MVR. Some overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL Class A with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• One year experience within last three years or completion of FedEx Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR.
• Must meet DOT FMC regulations under 391.
• LCV experience and qualification required for listed states.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor or trailer.
• Verify and complete required documentation and logs.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or equipment problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
