Job summary

XPO is seeking a Truck Driver Student in Wisconsin to join our team and start on a path to a CDL-A. You’ll participate in training to obtain your CDL-A, gain hands-on experience as an LTL driver, and perform inspections and paperwork to meet FMCSR and DOT requirements.

You’ll lift and move freight with a forklift when needed and support safe, timely deliveries. The role emphasizes safety, record-keeping, and collaboration with a fast-paced service center, with shifts that cover days, evenings,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 1 year of related experience required.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 12 months.
• CDL-A permit by first day of class; endorsements within 90 days.
• Begin TSA fingerprint background check by week 2 of class.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Pass DOT drug test with no positive tests in 3 years.
• Pass company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test; perform essential functions with/without accommodations.
• Available to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend training sessions to obtain a CDL-A.
• Gain on-the-job experience as an LTL Driver.
• Under supervision, perform FMCSR vehicle inspections.
• Maintain records per FMCSR and DOT policies.
• Load/unload freight using a forklift as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Adhere to company safety policies.
• Maintain contact with service center personnel in a fast-paced environment.
