Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. in Kenosha, WI is seeking a Truck Driver Student to train and gain hands-on experience as an LTL driver while earning while learning.

You’ll attend CDL-A training sessions, perform on-the-job tasks under supervision, and learn FMCSR compliance and safe driving practices. Eligible candidates must be 21+, possess a valid license, and be able to obtain a CDL-A permit with endorsements within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 12 months.
• Attain a CDL-A permit by the first day of class and endorsements (double/triple trailers, tanker, HAZMAT) within 90 days.
• Initiate TSA fingerprint-based background check by week 2 of class.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Pass a DOT drug test with no positive results in the last 3 years.
• Pass company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test.
• Able to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend training sessions to obtain a CDL-A.
• Gain on-the-job experience as an LTL Driver.
• Perform FMCSR-required vehicle inspections under 396.13 under supervision.
• Maintain records per FMCSR, DOT and company policies.
• Load/unload freight using a forklift as needed (touch freight).
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports; follow safety policies.
