Job summary

XPO is hiring a Truck Driver Student in Charlotte, NC. You will train to obtain a CDL-A and gain hands-on experience as an LTL driver while adhering to FMCSR and safety standards. The role offers day-one health insurance, life/disability coverage, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Eligible candidates must be 21+, hold a valid license for 12+ months, and be able to pass pre-employment checks and DOT testing. Shifts vary including days and nights.

Qualifications

• Attain CDL-A permit by first day of class and endorsements within 90 days: double/triple trailers, tanker and HAZMAT.
• Hold a valid state driver's license for at least 12 months.
• Must pass DOT drug test and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend CDL-A training sessions.
• Gain on-the-job experience as an LTL Driver under supervision.
• Perform FMCSR vehicle inspections and maintain records.
• Load/unload freight using forklift as needed (touch freight).
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
