Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem, tractor trailer or straight trucks on interstate routes, complying with DOT regulations and safety checks.

The role requires 12 months driving experience, a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, and availability for the Sunday–Thursday night shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight ranging 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Transport empty trailers to operating locations and full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards.
• Drive tandem, tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes.
• Turn around and deliver full trailers safely and on time.
• Communicate with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Perform safety checks and adhere to DOT regulations.
• Complete daily logs and required paperwork.
• Maintain vehicle and trailer security and cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
