Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a Shuttle Driver in Massachusetts to transport trailers between home and shuttle yard locations. You will work Monday–Friday, with evening dispatch windows and DOT-compliant safety duties.

The role emphasizes safety, timely deliveries, and professional interactions with customers and co-workers. The job requires a valid CDL A with Doubles, a clean MVR, and the ability to pass drug and road tests, with a 21+ age minimum.

Qualifications

• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Meet all State licensing/certification requirements.
• Ability to lift and move product cases weighing 60–90 lbs.
• Ability to work 3rd shift schedule (Sun–Thu nights) and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip safety checks on tractor/trailer per DOT regulations.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedules.
• Handle hook/unhook procedures safely and efficiently.
• Inspect loads for proper securing and accuracy of route paperwork.
• Maintain daily record of hours of service and submit per company requirements.
• Ensure trailers and equipment are locked and secured after duties.
• Assist with general housekeeping in dock areas and comply with DOT guidelines.
