Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Massachusetts to transport empty trailers to our warehouse locations and return with full trailers, following DOT and safety rules. The role involves operating tandem tractor-trailer, tractor-trailer, or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes, with night hours on a Sunday-Thursday schedule.

Requirements include a valid CDL A with doubles endorsement, 12+ months of commercial driving, ability to lift 60–90 lb, and a clean MVR; the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR past 3 years.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Inspect trailers for proper load security and paperwork.
• Drive and deliver trailers on predetermined routes.
• Hook/unhook trailers according to safety guidelines.
• Park and secure tractor/trailers in designated areas.
• Handle damaged goods and returns in trailer and complete necessary paperwork.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs as required.
• Perform housekeeping tasks in loading dock and trailer areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
