Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem/tractor/straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, complying with DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role involves 60k-70k annual pay, 2 weeks of training in Temple, TX, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Schedule is Sunday–Friday with 2:30pm–12am dispatch windows, and benefits start Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6-12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Third shift schedule: Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor, trailer and comply with DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer for proper loading and secure freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is available at dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers per predetermined route schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Park and store tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Secure equipment and freight; manage damaged goods and returns.
