Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to operating company warehouse locations and turn around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. The role requires driving a tandem tractor/trailer and/or straight truck over intrastate and interstate routes, following DOT regulations, and communicating professionally with customers and vendors.

Training is provided in Temple, TX, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to pass DOT health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedules.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs and required paperwork.
• Maintain vehicle and cargo security and report safety issues promptly.
