Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport trailers and support our food distribution network. You will operate tractor/trailer combinations on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring safe, timely deliveries and adherence to DOT regulations.

Training is provided in Temple, TX, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a 60,000–70,000 USD annual pay range. Schedule is Sunday–Friday, 1–3 trips, with shifts from 2:30 pm to 12 am depending on load.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6-12 months commercial driving experience.
• CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer per DOT standards.
• Report safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer for proper load security and paperwork availability.
• Drive and deliver trailers per route schedule; perform hook/unhook procedures.
• Park and park trailers; ensure equipment and freight are secured.
• Record hours of service daily per Federal DOT and company rules.
• Maintain cleanliness in tractor and loading dock areas; perform other duties as assigned.
