Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You’ll operate tandem/tractor/straight trucks on intrastate/interstate routes, following DOT regulations and safety standards.

A 2-week training program will be held in Temple, TX to onboard you. The role offers a competitive pay range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year, plus health benefits from Day 1 and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Minimum 6–12 months commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and meet licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) according to DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Adhere to DOT rules and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailers for proper loading and security.
• Keep route paperwork with tractor/trailer for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver on predetermined routes.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and store tractor trailers correctly.
• Ensure freight is secured and paperwork is complete.
• Record hours of service daily per regulations.
