Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a professional truck driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations. The role requires operating tractor-trailers (including doubles/triples where applicable), completing daily pre-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate logs.

Candidates must hold a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, meet MVR and DOT/FMCSA standards, and be able to lift and hook trailers as needed. Overnight schedules may be required.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tank endorsements; Automatic transmission allowed.
• 1 year experience in past 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA 391 regulatory requirements.
• LCV qualifications apply in specified states; meet minimum standards where required.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift average 100 pounds for trailer hookups.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
