Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Class A CDL driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations via tractor-trailer combinations. You will perform daily pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs while complying with DOT regulations.

This full-time position may require long hours, overnight stays, and occasional chaining of tires. Pay includes starting per-mile rates for linehaul and hourly rates for non-linehaul work, with benefits consistent with FedEx

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with double/triple and hazmat endorsements.
• MVR must meet FedEx Freight hiring standards.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and logs.
• Ability to operate tractor-trailer and couple/uncouple trailers.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer to pick up and deliver between service centers and turn-points.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies as required.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and compliance with regulations.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate any issues.
• Load and unload freight as needed.
• Adhere to all safety and company policies.
