Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a professional driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailer combinations. Start pay includes per mile for linehaul and hourly for non-linehaul duties.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, hooking trailers, logging, and complying with DOT regulations. Overnight stays may be required depending on schedule. Equal opportunity employer; ADA accommodations available upon request.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with double/triple and hazmat endorsements.
• Hazmat endorsement required or obtained within 120 days of offer.
• Must meet DOT FMCSA regulatory requirements.
• Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations for linehaul and non-linehaul duties.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dolly connections.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and reports as required.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
