FedEx Freight is seeking qualified drivers for freight pickup and delivery between Service Centers and customers, supporting the selling process. The starting rate of pay is $37.27 per hour and adherence to safety standards is required.

The role involves operating tractor-trailer combinations (including doubles/triples where allowed), performing daily inspections, and coordinating with dispatch and customers to ensure timely service. Training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements.
• Minimum one year of driving experience in the last three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• MVR must meet FedEx hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulations under FMC 391.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly and to sit, bend, twist, squat, and climb in/out of a truck.
• Basic math and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations and procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to determine pick-up or delivery needs and solicit additional business.
• May be required to perform job duties of a road driver or a dock employee when operationally necessary.
