Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Class A CDL driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, supporting the selling process.

The starting pay is $31.26 per hour with standard safety and DOT requirements; overtime and shifts vary by operational needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations (including doubles/triples where applicable) or straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and rope.
• Complete required documentation and reports for shipments.
• Communicate with dispatch about delays, arrivals, and equipment issues.
• Interact with customers to determine pick-up/delivery needs and solicit additional business.
