Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking qualified drivers to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. The role requires a valid class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, and involves daily pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading freight, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Strong customer service and the ability to work with dispatchers are essential. Starting pay is around $35.21 per hour with potential linehaul mileage pay in some assignments.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• Automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combination and/or straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies.
• Handle freight with motorized/manual equipment.
• Secure freight inside trailers.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Demonstrate internal and external customer service.
• Ask for additional business from customers.
