Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a professional Food and Food Service Delivery Driver to deliver and unload customer orders with a tractor trailer or straight truck. You will follow scheduled routes, comply with DOT regulations, and provide excellent customer service on every run.

This role requires 21+ years of age, a valid CDL A, and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds. Overnight routes and 4- to 5-day work weeks are common, with competitive pay and benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and stack freight up to ~90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally and timely.
• Functions as a team member to best serve the company.
• Conducts safety checks per DOT regulations and ensures equipment meets safety standards.
• Reports safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Ensures freight is loaded and secured and deliveries are made on route.
• Verifies deliveries with customers and collects signatures.
• Maintains required paperwork for freight and updates logs daily.
• Operates tractor and trailer to load/unload and deliver orders.
• Performs routine housekeeping and secures equipment at end of shift.
