Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL-A Driver to deliver food and related products to customers across intrastate and interstate routes. You will drive tractor trailers or straight trucks, perform safety inspections, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include route delivery, unloading, paperwork, and adherence to DOT regulations. Benefits include health, 401K matching, PTO, and growth opportunities within a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds as required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Functions as a team member within the department and organization.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Reports safety hazards and ensures proper loading and secure freight.
• Performs count checks and verifies customer invoices for loaded freight.
• Completes required paperwork accurately.
• Drives to deliver customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unloads products and transports to customer storage areas.
• Checks for damaged goods and coordinates with supervisor as needed.
• Obtains customer signatures for deliveries.
• Collects payments where required and handles returns paperwork.
• Locks and secures equipment and freight at shift end.
• Completes hours-of-service records as required.
