Sunoco LP is seeking a corrosion-focused technician to apply knowledge in cathodic protection and corrosion control across pipelines and facilities. You will perform inspection, preventive maintenance, and data collection to support safe, compliant operations.

The role requires hands-on installation, testing, and troubleshooting of corrosion-related systems with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and accurate reporting. Roles vary by level and may involve travel to field sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residency.
• Experience levels vary by job level (A/B/C) with related corrosion, cathodic protection, pipeline maintenance or oil and gas experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, inspect, and maintain cathodic protection systems.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA) and proper documentation.
• Investigate corrosion conditions and perform surveys and analyses.
• Generate reports on rectifiers, bonds, isolation and corrosion control.
• Read and interpret pipeline maps, drawings and schematics.
