Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Corrosion Technician to apply corrosion knowledge and maintenance skills across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines. The role focuses on installation, inspection, and predictive maintenance of cathodic protection systems while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations.

Responsibilities include pipe‑to‑soil surveys, rectifier work, coating condition evaluations, and preparing corrosion reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience levels depend on job level (C/B/A) and may require specific certifications.
• Ability to use computers and MS Office; training others may be required for advanced levels.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain cathodic protection systems in assigned pipeline segments and facilities.
• Perform corrosion control and ensure regulatory compliance for pipelines and buried structures.
• Conduct pipe‑to‑soil surveys, readings, and related measurements; document findings.
• Generate and maintain corrosion reports and associated records.
• Read and interpret pipeline maps, drawings, and schematics; coordinate with team for repairs.
• Support PHMSA/state regulatory audits and maintain safety and work procedures.
