Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a qualified corrosion technician to apply corrosion knowledge across pipelines and facilities in a high-demand environment. You will install, inspect and maintain cathodic protection, read maps and schematics, and document regulatory compliance efforts.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to train others, and working in challenging outdoor conditions with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Experience levels range from Level C (0–2 yrs) to Level A (6+ yrs) with CP/CIP1 or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in corrosion, cathodic protection, pipeline operations, electrical, instrumentation, or oil and gas field work.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Perform pipe-to-soil potential surveys and related readings; document results.
• Generate reports on rectifiers, bonds, pipelines isolation and corrosion control.
• Read and interpret maps, drawings and schematics; communicate issues to supervisors.
• Train others as needed and ensure safe, compliant operations.
