Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a corrosion technician for field maintenance of cathodic protection systems across a defined pipeline segment and associated facilities. You will install, inspect, and service protective systems, read technical diagrams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, 0–6+ years experience depending on level, and a valid driver's license. Proficiency with MS Office is preferred, with travel up to 75% and safety-first operational

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Relevant experience may include corrosion, cathodic protection, pipeline operations, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical maintenance, measurement, construction, industrial field service, or other oil and gas experience that demonstrates transferable skills.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license in state of residency.
• Ability to use computers and MS Office Suite; proficiency with MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, or assist with rectifiers, anode systems, cables, bonds, test stations, and related field equipment.
• Provide for installation, operation, inspection and maintenance of cathodic protection systems within an assigned segment of the pipeline system or facilities.
• Read and interpret pipeline maps, as-builts, drawings, schematics, facility diagrams, or similar documents.
• Participate in PHMSA or State regulatory audits.
• Ensure facilities and work areas are maintained in a safe, orderly, and functional manner.
