Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Corrosion Technician to apply corrosion knowledge across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines. The role involves installation, maintenance, inspection, and compliance tasks to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, plus 0–6+ years in corrosion or related oil and gas fields, with NACE CP CP2 or equivalent credentials preferred. Travel and rigorous safety practices are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Level C: 0–2 years of relevant experience; Level B: 2–6 years; Level A: 6+ years with NACE CP CP2 and at least one of CIP 1, Interference, or Internal Corrosion Level 1.
• Relevant corrosion/cathodic protection experience in oil and gas or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, inspect, and maintain cathodic protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and company procedures.
• Perform surveys, readings, and documentation for corrosion control.
• Generate reports on rectifiers, bonds, and pipeline isolation.
• Train other technicians and participate in audits as needed.
