Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate the heart catheterization laboratory suite and support the physician during procedures. You will prepare rooms, monitor patient vitals, and ensure compliant imaging and documentation.

You will manage PACS workflows, perform QC on equipment, and adapt to diverse patient needs while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols and 24/7 on-call flexibility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic sciences required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years as allied health professional preferred; none required.
• ABLS/ACLS certifications through AHA and ARRT registration required; state licensure.
• Knowledge of radiation safety, PACS imaging, and procedure documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist team in patient setup and prep before procedures and post-procedure cleanup.
• Document procedures for accurate billing and charge capture.
• Operate radiographic fluoroscopy to obtain diagnostic images of cardiac and vascular disease.
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and report values to the physician.
• Monitor radiation delivery to minimize staff exposure.
• Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images in PACS.
• Perform quality control on fluoroscopy equipment and maintain imaging standards.
• Adapt communication and care to diverse patient populations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
