Qualifications

• Required – Associate degree in radiologic sciences.
• Preferred – Bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists team in patient setup and prep before procedures and takedown/cleanup following procedures.
• Documents in procedure log to ensure accurate billing and charge capture.
• Operates radiographic fluoroscopy to image coronary and peripheral vessels.
• Conducts hemodynamic monitoring and reports values to the physician.
• Monitors radiation dose to ensure safe delivery for staff and patient.
• Transmits, archives, and retrieves digital images in PACS.
• Performs quality control and regular maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.
• Adapts communication to the patient population and obtains necessary permissions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
