Job summary

Ochsner Health System seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate in the catheterization laboratory, monitor patient vitals, and assist physicians with procedures and digital angiography transmissions. The role includes preparing rooms and equipment, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to timely workflow.

The ideal candidate will have high school diploma, 1 year radiology/angiography experience, and applicable licenses (Louisiana ARRT).

Qualifications

• Computer skills and data entry proficiency are required.
• Effective verbal and written communication with professional presentation.
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and role-specific software.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented with ability to perform complex, hazardous tasks safely.
• Desire to learn new cardiovascular procedures and technologies.
• Knowledge of Heart and Vascular catheterization is expected.

Responsibilities

• Operates monitoring and recording devices under physician direction to obtain necessary medical data and ensure patient safety.
• Operates radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images of coronary and peripheral vessels.
• Orders equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Turns on radiographic equipment in the morning.
• Assists nurse with patient check-in and prep.
• Adapts communication and approach to diverse patient populations.
• Performs other related duties as required.
