Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic sciences is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences is preferred.
• ARRT certification and state licensure as applicable. (From certifications section)

Responsibilities

• Operate the heart catheterization laboratory suite and associated equipment.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients prior to procedures.
• Act as liaison with the Radiation Safety Officer.
• Assist in patient setup, safe transfer, positioning, and post‑procedure cleanup.
• Document procedures in the log for accurate billing and charge capture.
• Operate fluoroscopy equipment to capture diagnostic images of coronary and peripheral vascular disease.
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and report values to the performing physician.
• Monitor radiation dose to ensure safe delivery with minimal exposure.
• Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images in PACS.
• Perform quality control and routine maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.
• Adapt communication based on patient population, privacy, and case complexity.
• Handle other related duties as assigned.
