Job summary

Ochsner Health in Kenner, LA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate the heart catheterization laboratory suite, monitor patient vitals, and assist physicians during procedures. You will prepare rooms and equipment, and act as liaison to the Radiation Safety Officer to ensure safety and compliance.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, document procedures for accurate billing, and support ongoing quality and safety standards. A flexible schedule including on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic sciences required.
• Bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification within 3 months of hire; ARRT certification and state registration required.
• Experience and knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic fluoroscopy and cardiac equipment in the cath lab.
• Monitor patient vitals and assist physician during procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patient for the procedure.
• Document procedures accurately for billing and record keeping.
• Coordinate with Radiation Safety Officer and ensure regulatory compliance.
