Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate the catheterization laboratory, perform fluoroscopy, monitor patient vitals, and assist physicians. The role includes preparing rooms, equipment, and patients for procedures, and transmitting digital angiography procedures to the network database. Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent, and ARRT/RCVT registration.

BLS is required; ACLS may be pursued after hire. RCIS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS may be obtained after hire.
• RCIS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates monitoring and recording devices under physician direction to obtain medical data and ensure patient safety.
• Operates Radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Orders equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Turns on radiographic equipment in the AM.
• Assists nurse with patient check-in and adapts to diverse patient populations.
• Other related duties as required.
