Job summary

Levy at the Rose Quarter in Portland seeks a Catering Supervisor to lead daily catering operations at NBA/WNBA events. You will supervise staff, review menus, and ensure service standards across guest areas, with focus on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in high-end food & beverage, and thrive in a loud, fast-paced arena environment. Evening and weekend shifts are required; free meals are provided during events.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or a high-volume environment required.
• Supervisory experience in high-end food & beverage environment preferred.
• Comfortable working in loud, high-energy arenas.
• Able to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review menu and production needs to oversee daily functions.
• Supervise catering staff to ensure proper use of systems and tools.
• Visit guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels.
• Maintain knowledge of complete menu and on-hand products.
• Assist Premium Department with monthly inventory tasks.
• Ensure compliance with OLCC alcohol service standards.
• Adapt to shifting event locations within the arena.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

While no two events are quite the same, here’s what you can expect as a Catering Supervisor –

• Review menu and other production needs to oversee and manage daily functions
• Supervise catering staff to ensure all systems and tools are being used correctly
• Visit guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete menu and products on hand during event
• Assist the Premium Department with administrative work including monthly inventory
• Ensure compliance with OLCC alcohol service standards
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas and catering storage in compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
• Ensure compliance with Levy standards, policies, and procedures
• Adapt to shifting event locations within the arena
• Pivot between tasks in a dynamic environment (never a dull moment!)
• Perform any other duties as assigned
