Job summary

Made by Meg Catering in Torrance is seeking a results-driven Catering Sales Team Member to grow our high-end client base in the Greater LA area. You will prospect daily, arrange tastings, and shepherd proposals with a focus on luxury hospitality and memorable events.

The role offers a base salary of $60,000 per year plus commissions and bonuses. Expect regular Monday–Friday hours, strong teamwork, and opportunities to expand relationships with social and corporate clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Daily calls to potential clients from received leads.
• Set up and host Executive & Social client tastings.
• Client correspondence including emails and written communications.
• Solicit new business via phone calls, emails, and appointments.
• Develop new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
• Manage the Greater LA market with a sense of urgency.
• Handle multiple clients at once while giving individualized attention.
• Represent the product knowledgeably to clients in the sales process.

Job description

Very busy, high end, off-premises Los Angeles Catering Company and Venue Operator is looking to add a Catering Sales Team Member!

***Job encourages close proximity to business (Torrance). Long commute applicants are not ideal. ***

Luxury Brand Catering experience is a plus as well as knowledge of the LA Catering Events Market! Must love food!

***Event or Venue Experience is required. ***

Ideal candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of food, catering and luxury brand hospitality. Your clients will be social event clients as well as corporate large and small looking to make an impression or sell their brand through our culinary experience.

Requirement:

• Catering Sales Experience or Venues sales experience

Excellent Candidate for Consideration:

• Outstanding communication, detailed and organizational skills
• Confident and assertive over the phone, with a great personality and warm and friendly speaking voice
• Reliable, Responsible; Well-Organized
• Easy to work with, Independent, yet a team player
• A self-starter who will take initiative and loves making the sale and delighting the client.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, google suites and willingness to learn new systems.

***Previous sales experience for a catering company is a plus!***

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Daily calls to potential clients from received leads

• Ability to handle the vast Greater LA market
• Works with a sense of urgency and able to handle multiple clients at once while making them each feel cared for
• Self-Motivated to achieve.
• Determined and part of a team in their effort to see the company reach their yearly and long-term goals. Able to represent their product to the client in a knowledgeable manner
• Compensation includes - Base Salary + Commission + Bonusses available for benchmarks met + An Additional Annual Bonus structure = The potential to make as much money as you are motivated to earn.

***Comfortable with a monthly sales quota and has had one before.***

Event Specialist:

• Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm. Weekend availability once a month when on leads or when booked events occur that you are desiring to attend to connect with the client.
