Job summary

Workstream is seeking a Catering Sales Team Member in the Los Angeles area to drive new business and manage client relationships with a focus on luxury brand hospitality. The role requires strong communication skills, large-event experience, and the ability to handle multiple clients with a sense of urgency.

The ideal candidate will have catering or venue sales experience, a knowledge of the LA catering events market, and the drive to hit monthly quotas while providing outstanding client service.

Responsibilities

• Daily calls to potential clients from leads.
• Set up and host executive and social client tastings.

• Manage multiple clients with urgency and attentiveness.
• Hit a monthly sales quota and participate in a team effort.

Very busy, high end, off-premises Los Angeles Catering Company is looking to add a Catering Sales Team Member!

***Job encourages close proximity to business (Torrance). Long commute applicants are not ideal. ***

Luxury Brand Catering experience is a plus as well as knowledge of the LA Catering Events Market! Must love food!

Event or Venue Experience is required.

Requirement: Catering Sales Experience or Venues sales experience

Ideal candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of food, catering and luxury brand hospitality. Your clients will be social event clients as well as corporate large and small looking to make an impression or sell their brand through our culinary experience.

Excellent Candidate for Consideration:

Outstanding communication, detailed and organizational skills

Confident and assertive over the phone, with a great personality and warm and friendly speaking voice

Reliable, Responsible; Well-Organized

Easy to work with, Independent, yet a team player

A self-starter who will take initiative and loves making the sale and delighting the client.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, google suites and willingness to learn new systems.

Previous sales experience for a catering company is a plus!

Duties include (but are not limited to):

Daily calls to potential clients from received leads

Set up and host Executive & Social Client food tastings

Client correspondence including emails & written communications

Solicit new business through phone calls, emails & appointments

The ability to develop new client relationships, as well as maintaining existing ones

Ability to handle the vast Greater LA market

Works with a sense of urgency and able to handle multiple clients at once while making them each feel cared for

Comfortable with a monthly sales quota and has had one before.

Self-Motivated to achieve.

Determined and part of a team in their effort to see the company reach their yearly and long-term goals. Able to represent their product to the client in a knowledgeable manner

Compensation includes - Base Salary + Commission + Bonusses available for benchmarks met + An Additional Annual Bonus structure = The potential to make as much money as you are motivated to earn.

Event Specialist:

Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm. Weekend availability once a month when on leads or when booked events occur that you are desiring to attend to connect with the client.
