Job summary

Quorum Hospitality's Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive catering revenue and manage client relationships from inquiry to execution. This hands-on, client-facing role blends sales and service, coordinating menus, events, and up-selling hotel services to maximize revenue.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in catering sales or hotel events, strong closing skills, and proficiency with Windows and event planning software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years catering sales or hotel event planning experience.
• Experience detailing meetings, events, or banquets preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree a plus).
• Strong sales skills with ability to build rapport, present confidently, close business.
• Proficiency with Windows and sales/meeting planning software.
• valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Solicit catering and SMERF group accounts to meet revenue targets.
• Prospect, schedule sales appointments, and network for leads.
• Prepare tailored proposals for clients.
• Conduct tours, tastings, and meetings to secure business.
• Detail event requirements including menus, setup, A/V, timelines, requests.
• Create Banquet Event Orders and coordinate internal communications.
• Partner with Culinary, Banquets and Events for flawless execution.
• Forecast catering revenue and adjust strategies as needed.
• Upsell menu enhancements and hotel services to maximize revenue.
• Maintain client information and communications in the CRM.
• Attend sales meetings and provide required MOD coverage.
• Assist with promotions and client events.
• Other duties as assigned.
