Placements24 is seeking a Catering Operations Coordinator to support growing catering services in Welkom. You will oversee event logistics, coordinate staff, deliveries, and setup, and ensure excellent client satisfaction through smooth operations.

The role requires strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate with clients, kitchen teams, and delivery staff across diverse events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event coordination, logistics, or operations, preferably within the catering or hospitality sector.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using scheduling software and standard office productivity tools.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling staff, managing deliveries, and ensuring timely setup.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for event logistics, liaising between clients, kitchen staff, and delivery teams.
• Prepare event documentation, such as function sheets, staffing rosters, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels for catering supplies and equipment, coordinating replenishment as needed.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues during events to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Conduct post-event debriefs to gather feedback and identify areas for operational improvement.
