Job summary

Nationwide's National Catastrophe (NATCAT) Property Claims Field Adjuster role places you in the field, responding to major disasters nationwide and providing hands-on support to policyholders. You will travel up to 80% on short notice to assess damage, determine coverages, and guide customers through the claims process with empathy and professionalism.

This role requires Xactimate proficiency, on-site roof inspections, and strong communication to resolve complex claims while upholding

Qualifications

• Three to five years of property claims experience or similar
• Experience working in CAT environments
• Ability to safely inspect rooftops using a ladder and to perform on-site inspections

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property inspections and damage assessments.
• Investigate and resolve complex property claims from start to finish.
• Determine policy coverages and prepare estimates using Xactimate.
• Own the full lifecycle of claims including reserving and documentation.
• Collaborate with Special Investigations and Subrogation as needed.
• Maintain regulatory and internal standards compliance.
• Provide proactive updates to customers throughout the claims process.
