Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist II for the National Catastrophe property team. This field‑based role requires travel to catastrophe zones (up to 80%), on short notice, to inspect properties, assess damage, and guide policyholders through the claims process.

You will handle the full lifecycle of claims, including reserving, supplements, and documentation, while coordinating with internal teams to identify fraud and subrogation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience handling field/property claims, especially in catastrophe environments.
• Strong customer service orientation in high-stress situations.
• Knowledge of claims processes and estimating with Xactimate.

Responsabilités

• Handle on-site inspections and damage assessments in catastrophe zones.
• Investigate and resolve moderate to complex property claims from start to finish.
• Determine policy coverage and prepare estimates using Xactimate.
• Own the full lifecycle of claims including reserving and documentation.
• Collaborate with Special Investigations and Subrogation as needed.
• Maintain regulatory/standards compliance and timely resolutions.
• Provide proactive updates to customers throughout the process.
